Water war ????

Cauvery verdict was out and Bangalore has almost become quiet.. I know major part of the crowd is hiding in their house, leaving the most of Bangalore traffic missing somewhere and surprised those who were on roads.. I don’t know if this is just a matter of time to erase it from memory or it’s a volcano waiting to burst anytime. So far things are good and the tension of 1991 riots against Tamils in Karnataka was definitely felt yesterday, though no incidents to my knowledge, but cooling down today.

Karnataka CM Kumarasamy has called for an all party meeting tomorrow and the reactions after that from the political parties could trigger some of the political forces to react badly.

So far no transportation between Tamilnadu and Karnataka. All Tamil TV channels are blacked out and there is a Karnataka bandh called on feb 8th by some kannada movement.

IBN & Times now - TV channels updates the happenings in Karnataka and Times now in particular is just waiting for something wrong to happen!! Media sucks ! Yes, yesterday when the verdict was out. They called CM (live) on phone and asked him what’s his reaction, inspite of he mentioning that he has to discuss with other leaders and the technical folks (he makes a lot of sense to me) before reacting, this lady from the TV channel was all behind him and trying to pull words out. She was asking "Are you disappointed?" .. Why should she ask that question and they were the first to report this as a victory for TN & defeat for KN. Who are they to decide?

And I don’t understand why they have stopped all Tamil channels!! I'm not sure, how that helps. But if by stopping Tamil channels could help them settle down than
violence against Tamils, I'm ready to sacrifice my TV time!

I remember watching Vijay TV's "Kalakka Povadhu champions" program, where they made a skit on water problems in year 2050. Seriously the water war is here already !!!
